WHERE IS THE ROADHOUSE?
The Roadhouse is just off Piccadilly Gardens. If you are arriving from Piccadilly train station go towards the city centre and turn right after the Tesco Metro, The Roadhouse is 40 yards on your right. Map

WHERE CAN I PARK?
The Northern Quarter is pretty awful for parking. You can park by the side of the venue on single yellows after 6pm, there are also single yellows on Stevenson Square. Car parks can be found on Tibb Street and also Swan Street.

IS THERE ANYWHERE CHEAP TO STAY NEAR THE ROADHOUSE?
Yes there is. Literally down the street, THE HATTERS 50 Newton Street, Manchester, M1 2EA. They have a neat website, jump here www.hattersgroup.com for more info or call 0161 236 9500 or even send an email to manchester@hattersgroup.com Also round the corner is a TRAVEL LODGE 22 Great Ancoats, Manchester, M4 5A2 www.travelodge.co.uk or 08701911782 for info & bookings.

ARE YOU AN OVER 18 VENUE?
Not always, we do run all age shows from time to time which curfew at 9pm, check the listings for these. If you are a lucky pup who looks under 21, please bring ID for our doorteam to see. Passport, University ID's will do the the trick, anything without a photo will not.

HOW CAN I GET A SHOW FOR MY BAND?
Anyone interested in playing at the Roadhouse should send an email with a link to a myspace/website etc or a CD to the address on the contacts page to a gentleman called Jon. Please bear in mind that we generally book 3 months in advance, and we do have a large backlog of music to listen to. If you don't get a reply straight away, don't worry just sit tight, you will get a response.

ONCE I HAVE CONFIRMED A SHOW AT THE ROADHOUSE, WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO BRING?
The headline act generally will supply the backline, but don't take this for granted, please liase with all the bands on the bill to arrange this. Everyone else to bring guitar amps, bass head, cymbals and stands, snare, kick pedal.

If supporting a touring band you may need to bring you own separate backline. We do have a house backline for hire if need be.

WHAT IS THE 21 DAY RULE?
All promoters in Manchester abide by this unwritten rule. Essentially you should not play a show at any venue in the Greater Manchester area within 21 days either side of your show. This works best for all involved, bigger crowds, keeping it fresh for your fanbase, no-one likes to see a band umpteen times in a month. All promoters/venues talk to each other so be warned.

WHAT FLYER DEAL DO YOU OFFER?
Because we are an independent venue, and are offering THE BEST FLYER DEAL in town, we simply do not have unlimited resources that enable us to put on shows for no return. So, if you are having trouble with your promotion, call the office asap. Failing to do this WILL result in your band being pulled from the gig, AND BLACKLISTINGS to other promoters.

Monday to Thursday after 30 of your flyers come through the door you will receive £60 and then £2 for each after that.

Friday to Sunday after 50 through you will receive £100 and then £3 for each after that, so 75 people = £175. Pretty good huh?

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN SOUND ENGINEER?
Yes you can, please let us know when you confirm the show if you intend to bring an engineer. We do have a bunch of excellent house engineers who all have fantastic touring experience.

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I HAVE TO GIVE WHEN CANCELLING A SHOW?
We expect 14 days notice at least and also a very good reason. Things like "My guitarist has a headache" the day before a show just doesn't cut it. You will be bad mouthed to all promoters/venues.

CAN I HIRE THE ROADHOUSE?
Sure, but we are certainly very fussy as to what we hire-out to. We of course love events that stand out in the listings. Anyone interested in hiring the venue please send a proposal via email to the address in the contact us page.
